Quotes by Michael Dorf:

"I support the plant-based diet."
"I was diagnosed with an early, early stage of prostate cancer. I was almost a vegetarian then. I was heading that direction. What pushed me over the edge, was the doctor who did the diagnosis. He said in a discussion about prostate cancer that he had never seen a vegetarian with prostate cancer. And this is not a holistic doctor, this is a regular, mainstream doctor. And I was just blown away."
"About 3 years ago [2007], I started being a vegan. So no meat, no animal by-products."
"I lost the weight and it slowed the growth of the prostate cancer that I had. I feel a lot healthier."
"When I went on my vegan diet, people were just up in arms with me, about "You got to have protein, you need a lot of protein". And you don't. You need some, but plant-based protein is the best way."
"I run into people all the time that say "I can't do it", or "It's too difficult", or "I really need meat". And I just say "Look, it's really not difficult, it's just different". You have to go into a shop a different way. You have to look at the packaging. You have to pay attention to what goes in it and be careful. That just takes a little more time, but it's not hard."
"I have not missed meat at all. The only thing that I would even think about missing is hamburgers and French fries. I can still have French fries. I found that the vegetarian burgers, the stuff that is out there now, is very good when you dress it up. It is perfectly fine, so I don't miss it at all. It's easy to make the transition, because I feel so much better."

Quotes are from his 2010 interview with LifeFitMagazine and his 2011 interview with The Plant-Based Diet.
