Truly Beautiful

Born into this world as a Golden Retriever,
her life defined that of a True Love Receiver.
We called her ‘Beautiful’ and she grew into her name.
Her instinct to hunt; she easily overcame.
Beautiful gave limitless love whenever needed.
She’d always share a kiss with those of us who pleaded.
Not only was she clad in soft, lush, golden colored fur,
Her truly beautiful nature came from inside of her.
It manifested outwardly in luxurious style.
The designer of her tail truly went the extra mile,
then went on to coordinate with eyelashes of gold,
Beautiful was a vision for any eyes to behold.
She transformed on a plant-based diet from a retriever.
Her new found gentleness made me a firm believer
in the immense power and the tempering effect
of veganism and the change it will reflect.

She evolved and began protecting our pet rabbits;
Keeping them safe from dogs was one of her learned habits.
She loved people and felt when they needed her healing.
She'd go to them, offering her comforting feeling.
Her lovable example was a gift for everyone,
My Love for her will always shine as brightly as the sun.
The depths of sadness were felt when Beautiful departed,
After death, she shed a tear for those left broken-hearted.
Her admirable life won't be forgotten by my heart,
Of my soul and spirit, she’s inevitably, a part.
When she passed I prayed to God, to let her soul enter me,
for she was ‘Truly Beautiful’; the way I’d like to be.
